UN sanctions placed on three North Korean state firms

The United Nations has imposed sanctions on three North Korean state firms for their involvement in the country's recent failed rocket launch.
Amroggang Development Banking Corporation, Green Pine Associated Corporation, and Korea Heungjin Trading Company were put on the UN security council's sanctions black list.
The UN says the companies are financing and organising Pyongyang's missile and nuclear programs.
Countries such as the United States and Japan have suggested another 40 North Korean organisations and individuals to be added to the list.
But diplomats say China, the North's closest ally, rejected the bulk of the names.
