Ratko Mladic declared fit for trial and extradition
Last Updated:
Former Bosnian Serb military commander Ratko Mladic has been declared fit to stand trial and can be extradited.
A judge at a special Serbian war crimes court says the conditions for transfer have been met.
Mr Mladic's legal team says he is in poor health and that they will appeal against the decision on Monday.
They have requested that he be admitted to hospital over concerns about his health.
His son Darko has told journalists his father is innocent and not in a fit state to be sent to The Hague.
General Mladic, who was arrested on Thursday after 16 years on the run, faces genocide charges over the killings of about 7,500 Bosnian Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica in the 1990s.
