Iran arrests 30 people accused of spying

Iran has arrested 30 people it says were spying for the United States.
Iran's semi-official Fars news agency claims they were passing information to U-S officials at embassies and consulates in countries including Malaysia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
The arrests come just days after President Obama made a speech on the Middle East, reiterating Washington's view that Iran sponsors terrorism and is seeking nuclear weapons.
Spying in Iran can carry the death penalty.
