Northern Victorian towns battle major flooding

Australian authorities fear fatigue could soon set in as northern Victorian towns continue to battle major flooding.

Communities surrounding Swan Hill are the latest to feel the flood threat, with the Murray River slowly rising.

The peak is expected around Wednesday and while authorities are confident the city's levee will hold, nearby communities could be cut off for days.

The State Emergency Service's Kevin Monk is urging residents in flood affected areas to take care of themselves.
