China warns of 'consequences' for Lui support

China's Vice Foreign Minister has warned European and other governments there would be consequences if they show support for jailed Nobel peace laureate Liu Xiaobo
Cui Tiankai says governments will have to take responsibility for the consequences if they backed him.
Mr Cui who is China's key G20 negotiator, made the remarks in response to a reporter's question at a briefing for the G20 summit in Seoul next week.
Mr Liu, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize last month, was jailed in December for 11 years on subversion charges after co-authoring Charter 08.
That's a petition calling for sweeping political reform that has been circulated online and signed by thousands of people.
China's government has said that awarding him the the honour is tantamount to encouraging crime.
