Last Updated:
A Chinese woman is suing a cinema for showing 20 minutes of commercials before her movie.
Chen Xiaomei (zhyao-may) says the cinema in the northern city of Xian should have told her how long the pre-movie advertisements would run before the box-offiice hit 'Aftershock'.
The Xinhua news agency report she is accusing the cinema and film distributors of wasting her time and violating freedom of choice.
She is demanding a refund of her 35-yuan ticket, plus 35-yuan in compensation and one yuan for emotional damages - along with a writted apology.
