Indian cricket legend gives blood for biography
Last Updated:
Ten copies of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's new biography will be printed using his blood.
The signature page of the Tendulkar Opus, which will be released next February, will be printed with a mix of paper pulp and Tendulkar's blood.
The 10 copies have all been pre-ordered and cost around $US75,000 each.
The proceeds from their sale will go towards Tendulkar's charitable foundation.
Around 1,000 numbered and signed copies, with each of the 852 large pages edged in gold leaf, will go on sale for $2000 to $3000.
Sachin Tendulkar is the leading run scorer and century maker in both Test and One Day International cricket, with more than 30,000 runs in international cricket.
