Quake strikes off Indonesia's West Java

A strong earthquake has struck off Indonesia's Java island but there are no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami warning has bee issued.
The US Geological Survey says the quake struck 80 kilometres south south west of Tasikmalaya, West Java, at a depth of 96.8 kilometres.
Indonesia's geophysics and meteorological agency places the quake at 118 kilometres south west of Tasikmalaya and at a depth of 34 kilometres, with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter Scale.
The USGS measured the quake at 5.8.
