Thai military seizes cargo plane with heavy arms

Thai security forces seized more than 35 tonnes of heavy arms and arrested five crew members of a cargo plane when it made an emergency landing to refuel at Don Muang airport
Government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn says the plane had departed from North Korea but could not confirm its destination.
An air force official involved in the inspection, who wants to remain anonymous told Agence France Press Thai authorities had been asked by the United States to investigate the plane and its cargo.
He believes the plane was heading for somewhere in South Asia, probably Pakistan.
The cache of weapons included firearms and missiles.
Four of the crew members are from Kazakhstan and one from Belarus.
