Hong Kong politicians angry over violence against journalists in China

Hong Kong politicians have called on Beijing to intervene in a row over police violence against journalists covering unrest in Xinjiang region.
Reports said three television crew members have been arrested and beaten in Urumqi while reporting on mass protests over a series of syringe attacks
Sunday Morning Post reported Hao Tiechuan, from the Hong Kong government's liaison office, discussed the incident with Chinese officials, and plans to bring up the issue with China's State Council.
A top Chinese Communist Party official and the Xinjiang's police commander have been sacked following the protests, that left five people dead.
The demonstrations came less than two months since ethnic unrest in Urumqi between mainly Muslim Uighurs and ethnic Han Chinese left 200 people dead.
