Latest bombing in Iraq kills six
Last Updated:
A car bomb in a market has killed six people in western Iraq's Anbar province, the latest in a string of violent attacks.
The blast in Haditha, 190-kilometres west of Baghdad, wounded 21 people.
Reuters news agency says several high-profile bombings have hit Anbar in the past few weeks, prompting a temporary vehicle ban across the province.
A week ago, a suicide bomber killed four people at a funeral in the city of Falluja, while a day earlier, a car bomb killed five people there.
Even though violence has fallen in Iraq, insurgents are still able to launch large-scale attacks, raising questions about the Iraqi security forces' ability to cope, after U.S. troops withdraw totally by 2012.
